Personal Roadmap
- Maria is a founding member of ALMA Services and a Senior Legal and CSR Advisor with a long-term practice and experience at global and EU level. She is also member of EFRAG Secretariat established for the development of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards in accordance with the provisions of CSRD, EU Taxonomy for Climate Change and SFDR for responsible investing. She is a founding member of CSR Hellas and chaired the BoD from 2022 to 2024. She joined the European Business Network for Social Cohesion (succeeded by CSR Europe) and GRI as a corporate expert in 1998.
- She has more than 30 years working experience in Corporate Sustainability, Social Responsibility and Accountability from both global and local initiatives working for multinationals and SMEs in the value chain. She holds a Master in Law for International and European Human Rights.

Professional Achievements
- Leading Stakeholder Dialogue and Consultation at both EU and national level (Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria) regarding the endorsement of EFRAG proposals for the adoption of ESRS VSME Recommendation by EU to enable SMEs to have access in the sustainable finance and just transition initiatives granted by EU and national authorities.
- Leading the development and implementation of the National Pact for Sustainable Industry in Greece as an innovative collaboration among large companies and SMEs in the value chain of significant sectors as in the case of construction, health, energy, transportation and public infrastructure. The 3year long program is focused on capacity building inside – out and bottom up for all participating companies taking into consideration the maturity level and the common priorities.
- Leading CSR Europe CEO Leadership Hub (2021 – 2023) to deliver the European Manifesto for a Just Transition related to the EU Agenda for 2024 – 2029.
- Leading TITAN Group CSR Department from 2003 when established till 2019 and develop the strategy, the policies and the action plan to embed sustainability and social responsibility in the corporate culture and leaders’ mindset.
- Leading CSR Hellas as representative of TITAN Group in Greece and leading the development of CSR Business Networks in other markets where TITAN Group operated both in Sout-hEast Europe and in other continents (e.g. Cyprus, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Albania, Egypt, Brasil).
- Leading Training and Human Resources development programs related to sustainability and corporate responsibility for corporations and academic institutions. (e.g. CSR School, ESG Academy of Sofia University, ESG and CSR sessions for Wharton Business School and other)
